And he gave some as apostles,
others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers, to
equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of
Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
Generations of Faith-
Generations of Faith is a lifelong,
intergenerational faith formation for the whole Catholic Community
of Defiance. Adults of all ages, youth and children gather
once a month for two hours to grow in faith together.
Generations of Faith creates many opportunities to use our God-given
gifts as we participate month by month as a household, provide
hospitality, teach as a catechist, prepare snacks, set up the
gathering spaces, and offer childcare. Become a lifelong
learner!

Annual Parish Weekend
Retreat-
The Annual Parish Retreat encourages, through
personal spiritual growth, greater connection with the larger parish
community and the formation of small prayer and study groups.
The Retreat Team includes opportunities to serve from leadership
positions, team membership, musicians, food preparers and servers,
and many others. Time commitments vary from just a few hours
on the weekend of the retreat to dozens of hours over the course of
the year, depending on one's responsibilities. Attending a
retreat is a prerequisite for working on the team.

Bible Study Ministry-
Reading of the bible regularly is essential for
every Catholic. The Bible Study Ministry's purpose is to help
people learn how to better understand their bible reading, which in
turn helps everyone to understand their worship better, the role of
sacraments, and church teaching. God's Word Today is a program
of monthly, September thru May, sessions for sharing faith thru
bible study. These sessions can also help people start their
own bible study group or improve the one they are already in.
We can assist people with a phase of their scripture interest.
