Liturgical Ministry Commission-
The LMC promotes full, active, and conscious participation in the parish's liturgical celebrations by all the faithful by continually evaluating, renewing, and improving the parish's liturgical celebrations and the environment in which they take place.  The Committee members meet on the second Thursday of each month and invest between two and five hours per month depending on their areas of responsibilities.

Lectors-
Lectors proclaim the word of God reverently and effectively in the parish's liturgical celebrations, so that it becomes living and active in the hearts and minds of the assembled faithful.  Lectors usually serve once a month and spend around five hours preparing.  They also gather occasionally for training and formation.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist-
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and take the Eucharist to parishioners in the hospital, nursing homes, and who are homebound.  Ministers receive initial and ongoing catechesis and training and serve when scheduled, usually one Mass every three weeks and/or regularly to the sick and infirm.

Altar Attendants-
After four to six hours of training over a short period, offered a couple of times a year, in which attendants become familiar with the persons, places, things, and procedures involved in liturgical celebrations; attendants are normally scheduled to serve one Mass a month, and for other celebrations.

Ushers & Greeters-
Ushers help seat parishioners at Mass, help direct processions, and take up the collection.

With a smile, greeters welcome everyone who comes to weekend Masses.  They also hand out the children's bulletins.  It is a great ministry for families to serve together.  They are usually scheduled for one or two Masses a month.

Gift Bearers-
Gift Bearers sign up at church on weekends or at the office during the week or are recruited as needed to more fully participate at Mass by bringing up the gifts at the Offertory.  The coordinator organizes the Gift Bearer Callers.

Gift Bearer Callers-
Volunteer Callers are assigned specific months in which to call and remind Gift Bearers who have signed up for a particular Mass, and answer any question that they may have.  Time involved depends on how many Masses have scheduled Gift Bearers.  The office secretary contacts the Caller each Friday with the names and telephone numbers.

Liturgical Art and Environment-
The Art and Environment Team follows the liturgical calendar to create a spiritual worship environment.  During Ordinary Time, the team may spend one hour per week decorating the church and four hours per week decorating for Lent, Holy Week, Easter Advent, Christmas, and other special liturgies.  The committee welcomes those who have special skills in art, design, and sewing.

Sacristans-
The sacristans maintain the sacred vessels, vestments, and alter dressings, changing them when needed.  The sacristans meet in the sacristy for about one hour once a week.

Liturgical Music Ministry-
The Folk Group, led by Bob Barnett (419.782.4608), uses more contemporary music to help worshipers more fully participate in Mass.  They practice every other Wednesday evening and spend at least 3 hours preparing and playing for Mass.

The St. Mary Adult Choir, led by Eric West (419.782.6708), uses a mix of contemporary and traditional music to help worshipers more fully participate in Mass.  They rehearse every other Wednesday evening and sing at Mass at least once a month.

The Youth Choir, led by Eric West, leads music primarily at the once a month Youth Mass, usually practicing on the Wednesday evenings prior to the Sunday Mass.

Cantors, led by the Director of Music and Worship (419.782.2776) lead the singing assembly in worship during the weekend Masses and rehearse every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Instrumentalists/accompanists, led by the Director of Music and Worship, who aid worship for Sunday and Holy Day Masses, as well as weddings, funerals, and other liturgies, rehearse and play when needed.

Children's Liturgy of the Word-
During the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, September through May, pre-school and school-age children gain a meaningful experience of that Sunday's Scripture Readings.  The children gain a better understanding of the Readings and relate them to their lives.  The teams have one organizational/training meeting at the beginning of the school year and serve one hour a month on the Sundays they are scheduled.

Funeral Planner-
After being contacted by the parish office, planners help bring comfort to the deceased's family by helping them plan the Funeral Mass; selecting readings, music, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, etc.  Planning takes about 3 to 5 hours per funeral.

Funeral Vigil Service-
Ministers, scheduled on a rotating basis, provide spiritual comfort to the family and friends of the deceased.  This Scripture based service take place at the funeral home prior to the funeral.

Communion Services-
On the days when a priest is unavailable, a Communion Service is held, in order that the faithful can still gather to worship God, and to receive Jesus in the Eucharist.  Eucharistic Ministers are trained to lead these services and then are scheduled periodically to preside.  When scheduled, it takes at least 3 hours to review procedures and study the Readings to prepare a reflection.

Altar and Rosary Society-
Under the patronage of Mary, Our Blessed Mother, women of the parish provide for parish sanctuary needs, promote the spiritual welfare and inspiration of the members and encourage high ideals for social and intellectual development.  They assist members to become aware of the needs of others on both parish and diocesan levels.  They meet in the School Hall or in the Parish Ministry Center on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. form September through November and March through June.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotions & Eucharistic Adoration-
In keeping with the Church's practice of honoring Mary and worshiping Jesus, at 4:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, parishioners gather for an hour to show their devotion to our Patroness Mary, under the title: Our Lady of Perpetual Help and to adore Jesus in the Eucharist.

Charismatic Prayer Group-
The group praises God in song and prayer and by reflecting on Scripture, opening themselves to the Holy Spirit's gifts.  They meet at 7:00 p.m. each Tuesday in the church.

Shepherds of Christ-
This prayer group, organized by Rev. Edward J. Carter, S.J., is dedicated to praying for the welfare of priests, religious, laity, and the Church and her leadership.  They promote devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's Immaculate Heart for the renewal of the Church and the world.  They meet at 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday in the church.

Spanish Prayer Group and Bible Study-
On the first and third Fridays of the month, this group gathers together for prayer, worship and praise.  The second and fourth Fridays of the month, the group gathers to study scripture in a Bible Study setting.  Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge.
