The Catholic Ladies of Columbia-
This is a fraternal benefit society incorporated
on March 12, 1897, as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the
state of Ohio. The Society's mission is to meet the needs of
Roman Catholics, their families and friends who share an interest in
the welfare of the Society through a sound life insurance program
and competitive financial products while bringing its members
together in fellowship, prayer and service to others. They
meet the third Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Parish
Ministry Center for about two hours.

Parish Festival-
Volunteers are needed to chair and co-chair the
Parish Festival. Others are needed to "head up" or work on
various committees, such as, games, dance, food, bingo, and crafts.
This is a great opportunity to meet people, work together in fun and
fellowship, and raise money for our parish community.

55 Plus Club-
Members gather to grow spiritually through
praying the rosary, participating in Mass, sharing a meal,
conducting Club business, and socializing through games and/or
entertainment. They renew their religious beliefs through an
annual retreat and socialize with those who are at least 55 years
old of other parishes. The Club meets from 10:45 a.m. to 2:00
or 3:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month, usually at St.
Michael, the Ridge.

Mother/Daughter Banquet-
To show appreciation to mothers and their
daughters, men of the parish plan and serve a dinner for them on the
eve of Mother's Day. The evening also includes entertainment
and door prizes. Committee members invest around 7 hours,
while banquet workers invest around 2½ hours
the evening of the banquet.

Men's Fellowship Breakfast-
Men from 20 area churches come to this ecumenical
fellowship breakfast, which focuses on spiritual leadership, to
share a meal, hear a speaker, and pray together. The breakfast
takes place on 4 or 5 Saturday mornings during the winter from 7:30
to 9:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church. Volunteers are
needed to be our parish representative, to recruit speakers, and to
cook and clean up.

Noodle Club-
Men and women of the parish gather in the school
basement to make noodles, which are then sold at the parish office.
The club meets on the first and second Thursday of the month, unless
otherwise noted in the bulletin. The club does not meet in
June or July. Members enjoy refreshments and fellowship at
each session, which runs from 11:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m.
Making of the noodles begins around 1:00 p.m. The work of the
noodle club has been beneficial to the support of many projects at
St. Mary Parish.

Birthday Card Ministry-
As a sign of our parish's appreciation and
gratitude, birthday cards are sent to all registered parishioners 70
years and older.

Catholic Resource Library-
The purpose of the Catholic Resource Library is
to provide a place where anyone can come to seek answers to
religious questions, to do resource work on religious topics, to
peruse books, tapes, videos, and programs for use in developing
programs, providing material for scripture study and/or prayer
groups, and for help in personal growth and development of our
spiritual life. Resources can be perused at the library,
checked out for home use, or purchased through the office. The
library is intended to be a "spiritual exercise center."
